CHICAGO and DULUTH, Ga. (February 28, 2007) –

Allscripts (Nasdaq: MDRX), the leading provider of clinical software, connectivity and information solutions that physicians use to improve healthcare, today announced that True North Technology has selected HealthMatics(R) Office, Allscripts Electronic Health Record (EHR) and Practice Management (PM) solution for small and medium-sized physician groups, to help restore practices along the hurricane-ravaged Gulf Coast.

True North, a leading provider of on-demand software solutions for healthcare organizations, purchased HealthMatics licenses under the agreement to incorporate into their Total Office Medical(TM) online solution, and will offer them to physicians at a reduced rate as part of a federal grant program. True North was selected by Morehouse School of Medicine (MSM) in Atlanta, the regional Hurricane Katrina relief center, under a grant from the US Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) and the National Institutes of Health (NIH) to electronically enable and restore physician practices hit hardest by the 2005 hurricane.

Additionally, Allscripts has selected True North as its partner in delivering HealthMatics Office nationally via the Application Service Provider (ASP) model. True North — through its Northstar(TM) network — will make HealthMatics Office accessible anywhere at anytime, disaster proof, and secure. HealthMatics Office ( http://www.allscripts.com/healthmatics ) combines HealthMatics Electronic Health Record and HealthMatics Ntierprise(R) Practice Management on one intelligent platform that provides practices with an easy-to-use patient information management solution.

“The physician practices of the Gulf Coast needed a solution that provided everything, including software licenses, on-demand infrastructure, training and support,” said Doug Nassaur, Chief Executive Officer of True North. “We assessed countless EHR and practice management vendors, and identified Allscripts as the ideal solution for physicians in this region thanks to HealthMatics ease of use, its affordability and the industry’s strongest track record for client support.”

With this grant, both companies turned their attention to supporting Katrina-devastated facilities and victims, establishing Health Information Technology (HIT) infrastructure in underserved communities, and promoting the adoption of a combined EHR and PM in general.

“Allscripts and True North share a combined vision that healthcare professionals need to focus their time, effort, and money on caring for patients — not managing technology,” said Glen Tullman, Chief Executive Officer of Allscripts. “Our proven leadership in the Electronic Health Record and practice management market, together with the power of True North’s on-demand system, will revolutionize healthcare delivery in these physician practices, where it’s truly needed the most.”

HealthMatics Office is a flexible and easily customizable solution for small and mid-sized physician practices. The combined solution enables clinical and practice management groups to work hand-in-hand for better communication and improved accuracy.
