Salud Family Health Centers Selects eClinicalWorks Unified EMR/PM Solution

More than 100 Providers Select Integrated System to Streamline Operations Between 10 Federally Qualified Community Health Center Locations

Westborough, Mass (April 14, 2008) – eClinicalWorksTM, a market leader in ambulatory clinical systems, today announced that Salud Family Health Centers, the largest Federally Qualified Community Health Center (FQHC) in Colorado outside of Denver, has purchased licenses of eClinicalWorks unified electronic medical records (EMR) and practice management (PM) solution. This software will support more than 100 providers to streamline practice operations between nine geographically dispersed locations from patient check-in to check-out.
“Salud was looking for a clinical system that would not only provide electronic health records but also manage the business side of the practice,” said Jerry Brasher, executive director of Salud Family Health Centers. “Chronic disease management is a critical part of patient care for many of Salud patients. With the use of eClinicalWorks, Salud will strengthen a provider’s ability to monitor and appropriately address any changes in a patient’s disease status.”
Salud operates nine clinics and one administrative and training center in north central and northeastern Colorado. Salud’s services are arranged to respond to the multiple aspects of care, including primary care, dental and mental health. eClinicalWorks has enhanced its product according to the stringent reporting and billing requirements that apply to FQHCs, helping to ensure there is no interruption in the funding that supports their work. Using eClinicalWorks EMR/PM, Salud will streamline internal processes between practice locations and promote patient safety. Salud also plans to implement eClinicalWorks Enterprise Business Optimizer (eBO), which uses meta-data to give the practice more flexibility through the creation of customized reports and by performing clinical and financial analysis.
“Federally Qualified Health Centers, like Salud, offer quality care to patients under strict guidelines, and with an emphasis on clinical and financial reporting,” said Girish Kumar Navani, CEO and co-founder of eClinicalWorks. “Salud’s selection of eClinicalWorks is a validation of our strategy and the work we have completed in this area.”
