Netsmart Technologies to Provide Practice and Treatment Management Software and Services to Rosecrance, Inc.
Rosecrance Substance Abuse Treatment Centers to Utilize Netsmart’s Avatar Suite of Software and Professional Services
GREAT RIVER, N.Y. (December 20, 2006) – Netsmart Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ: NTST), a leading supplier of enterprise-wide software for health and human services organizations, announced today that it has signed a software and services contract totaling more than $500,000 over a one-year period.
Based in Rockford, Ill., Rosecrance provides a full continuum of substance abuse prevention, intervention and treatment services to more than 5,000 children, youth, adults and families.
Rosecrance will utilize Netsmart’s CCHIT CertifiedSM Avatar 2006 software Avatar clinical and management software suite, including Practice Management, Clinician Workstation, RADplus, Order Entry and Mobile. The contract with Netsmart includes licensed software, installation and support services, project management, training and development, and maintenance.

Rosecrance will also utilize the First Data Bank medications library, which includes drug-to-drug interaction alerts and is integrated with Avatar Order Entry, as well as John Wiley Libraries, which includes complete adult psychotherapy and addiction treatment planning capabilities and is integrated with Avatar Clinical Workstation.
