ive Children’s Service Councils serving Pinellas, Broward, Duval, St. Lucie and Martin Counties have formed a training collaborative utilizing ContinuedLearning’s Learning Management System and online course catalogue as the web-based training backbone for this multi-region effort. Each county will make online training available to funded providers in their counties. The training collaborative will cooperate in developing online training curricula and setting standards for training requirements.

Pat Gehant, Director of Information Technology for the Juvenile Welfare Board of Pinellas County, says “We are excited to be able to increase training resources available to our agencies at a reasonable cost. The goal of elearning is to reduce the time it takes to train new staff on the organizations practices; reduce the time a supervisor spends training staff; and increase face-to-face time with clients. The solution provided by ContinuedLearning gives us the ability to develop a cooperative business model. The cost of operation will be distributed based on utilization, to our partners across the state.
