Intivia Selected as Qualified EHR Vendor with Connecticut’s Regional Extension Center

â??As a qualified vendor, Intivia is poised to assist physician practices in Connecticut to successfully adopt Electronic Medical Records and achieve Meaningful Use.â?

Piscataway, NJ (February 18, 2011) –

Intivia, Inc., a leading provider of integrated Electronic Medical Records and Practice Management Software called InSync®, announced today that it has been selected as a qualified EHR vendor for the federally designated Regional Extension Center (REC) established in Connecticut. As a qualified EHR Vendor with eHealthConnecticut, the sole REC in the state, Intivia will be able to help small practices drive EMR adoption and leverage the benefits of InSync EMR & Practice Management Software.

Intivia was selected after a thorough and rigorous RFI process. eHealthConnecticut was soliciting proven and well established vendors that would support significant growth in EHR adoption in the area. The selection process evaluated Intivia’s strength, background, ONC-ATCB Certification and its software capabilities to help small physician practices meet ‘Meaningful Use’ guidelines defined in the HITECH Act. Intivia met and exceeded the selection criteria.

“We are pleased to partner with eHealthConnecticut and provide our solution to the provider community in the state of Connecticut. We feel that the combination of InSync’s features, benefits and competitive pricing will help physician practices take the next steps towards EMR adoption.” said James Decker, Vice President of Sales and Marketing with Intivia, Inc.

On April 8, 2010 eHealthConnecticut received a $5.7 million grant from the Office of the National Coordinator, U.S. Department of Health and Human Services to support health care providers in accelerating the adoption of health information technology. Through this grant, eHealthConnecticut intends to serve at least 2,300 of the state’s 8,000 practicing physicians during the next four years. eHealthConnecticut’s long term objective is to have 80% of Connecticut’s providers live with EHR systems and interoperating via Health Information Exchanges.
