HealthCare Partners Selects Allscripts Practice Management System for Affiliated Physician Groups
California’s Second Largest Medical Group to Market Integrated Electronic Health Record and Practice Management System to 2,000 Physicians in Greater Los Angeles
CHICAGO & TORRANCE, Calif. (August 01, 2006) –
Allscripts Healthcare Solutions (Nasdaq:MDRX), the leading provider of clinical software and information solutions that physicians use to improve healthcare, announced today that HealthCare Partners Medical Group has purchased licenses to offer TouchWorks(TM) Practice Management to the group’s more than 2,000 affiliated physicians and other care givers throughout the Los Angeles area.
HealthCare Partners, California’s second largest medical group, implemented Allscripts TouchWorks Electronic Health Record (EHR) for its more than 400 staff physicians early in 2005. Today’s agreement enables HealthCare Partners to market TouchWorks Practice Management to its affiliated physicians, either on a standalone basis or integrated with TouchWorks EHR.

TouchWorks Practice Management http://www.allscripts.com/prdTWEMR.aspx combines sophisticated scheduling and financial management tools in a single package. Important features of the solution include rules-based appointment scheduling, multi-resource and recurring appointment features, referral and eligibility indicators, and appointment and claims management.
