Bloomfield Hills, MI (February 26, 2010) –

gloStream, maker of gloEMR, gloPM and gloSuite – the only medical practice software applications with Microsoft® Office built right in – today announced that Chief Executive Officer Mike Sappington and Chief Software Architect Yaw Kwakye will deliver a presentation about data portability and access during the Microsoft Health User’s Group Exchange 2010 (“MS-HUG 2010”). gloStream was selected to present after a competitive application process.

MS-HUG 2010 will be held at the Georgia World Conference Center in Atlanta, Georgia and is a precursor to the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (“HIMSS”) show which will be held March 1-4, 2010 at the same location. Sappington and Kwakye will deliver their presentation from 2:45pm-3:45pm on Sunday, February 28, 2010.

“We believe that a Microsoft-based platform provides the most flexible and powerful solution for storage and access to patient information in electronic medical records and practice management systems,” said Mike Sappington, gloStream’s CEO. “As more and more doctors convert from paper to digital storage of patient information it’s critical that they are able to access and control this highly valuable data. We look forward to sharing our experiences and talking with industry peers about the importance of achieving true information portability by leveraging the world’s most widely adopted data format.”

Sappington and Kwakye will focus on how Open XML technology can be used to streamline the availability of critical medial data within Microsoft technology. As the only electronic medical record and practice management software company that embeds Microsoft Office into its applications, Sappington and Kwakye have a unique perspective about how Microsoft technology can be leveraged to ensure that doctors have quick and easy access to important patient health information.
