Banyan Health Systems Selects CareCloud to Modernize Behavioral Health Care Delivery for their 500+ Service Professionals and Back-Office

CareCloud today announced that it has been selected as the strategic technology partner for Banyan Health Systems, Inc, a leading provider of community mental health and substance abuse treatment services in South Florida that employs over 500 individual health care service professionals

MIAMI, FL (October 04, 2010) –

CareCloud today announced that it has been selected as the strategic technology partner for Banyan Health Systems, Inc, a leading provider of community mental health and substance abuse treatment services in South Florida that employs over 500 individual health care service professionals. CareCloud will be providing web-based clinical, administrative and revenue cycle management software and back-office services.

“The community mental health industry in Florida has been in a tremendous state of flux since the privatization of the Florida Medicaid program. Organizations like ours have found themselves impaired in reacting to these competitive changes because of our inflexible technology,” said Bruce Hayden, CEO of Banyan Health Systems. “CareCloud’s platform allows these organizations to react rapidly to market forces without having to outlay significant capital expenditures.”

Banyan Health Systems, whose members are Miami Behavioral Health and Spectrum Programs, has undergone numerous operational and technological changes in recent years in response to a rapidly changing business environment. Banyan’s staff will be utilizing CareCloud’s on-demand apps to manage processes at the point of care while leveraging CareCloud’s robust revenue cycle management capabilities in their back-office. As the company’s first foray into cloud-computing solutions, Banyan will benefit from improved portability, security, and productivity from the desktop to mobile devices.

“Community mental health organizations can not afford to operate inefficiently. Shrinking reimbursement, complexity from managed care, increasing costs and additional regulatory pressure are forcing these organizations to implement state-of-the-art technologies such as CareCloud. As an on-demand service provider, our clients win by leveraging an innovative platform that is easily adopted and allows for collaboration across the entire network of healthcare constituents” said Albert Santalo, CareCloud’s President and CEO.

“After an exhaustive review of our options, it became increasingly clear that CareCloud was the most promising choice to overhaul our systems. Most of the solutions we looked at were installed software, requiring significant capital outlay and management of complex computing infrastructures. Additionally, these vendors have weak or non-existent mobile computing solutions which are key to enabling a geographically dispersed clinician workforce such as Banyan’s,” said Hayden.

“We are excited and proud to be helping such a worthy organization, which has done so much for the South Florida community over the past 40 years, to strengthen their competitive capabilities through the use of cloud-based IT,” said Santalo. “This agreement strongly represents CareCloud’s core mission of connecting the healthcare community, eliminating wasteful processes and modernizing the delivery of healthcare.”
