Agility EHR 10 Receives 2011 CCHIT Certification

Software Complies 100% with Updated Certification Criteria

Monterey, CA (June 24, 2010) –

Integritas, Inc. is pleased to announce that its Agility EHR 10.0 has been inspected by the Certification Commission for Health Information Technology (CCHIT®) and is a fully CCHIT Certified® 2011 Ambulatory EHR.As noted on their website, “the CCHIT Certified® 2011 certification program includes a rigorous inspection of integrated EHR functionality, interoperability, and security according to criteria independently developed by the CCHIT’s broadly representative, expert work groups using CCHIT’s published testing methods. This program is intended to serve health care providers looking for maximal assurance that a product will meet their complex needs. As part of this independent evaluation, successful use is verified at live sites, and product usability is rated.”

Integritas is committed to applying for and receiving additional certification under ARRA Stage 1 certification criteria. These criteria were initially specified in the Interim Final Rule (IFR) issued by the Office of the National Coordinator (ONC), US Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) in January, 2010, but the final rules for certification have not yet been released. Once ONC-accredited testing and certification becomes available, and CCHIT been accredited by ONC, the ARRA certification path will be open.

“We decided to wait to apply for the ARRA certification testing until the final rules for Stage 1 are issued by ONC, which is expected soon,” said Ed Stroupe, Integritas’ Vice President. Once the ARRA rules are finalized and we are ready for Agility EHR to meet them, we will submit our application for testing and certification,” Stroupe said. “But it was important to us to achieve the additional buyer assurance provided by the CCHIT 2011 certification program. ARRA certification is necessary for physicians to apply for reimbursement under ARRA, but that testing program verifies only that a product meets the currently required 24 ARRA criteria. The CCHIT Certified® 2011 certification program goes well beyond these requirements.”

The CCHIT Certified® 2011 Ambulatory EHR certification program includes testing against 286 criteria, of which 50 were new. Integritas’ Agility EHR 9.1 received the “fully certified” designation under the previous CCHIT Certified 2008® program, and STIX EHR 9.0 received CCHIT 2007 certification.

“We are very excited to have Agility EHR 10 be certified under the CCHIT Certified® 2011 program,” said Mary Stroupe, Integritas President. “Our clients and prospective clients can be assured that they are not only buying a product that meets the latest Ambulatory EHR criteria, but they are buying from a company committed to being a leader in our specialties of urgent care/occupational medicine.”

About CCHIT

The Certification Commission for Healthcare Information Technology (CCHIT®) is a private, nonprofit, 501(c)3 organization with the public mission of accelerating the widespread adoption of health information technology (health IT) to foster improvements in quality, safety, efficiency and access – key goals in today’s national dialog on health reform. Founded in 2004, and certifying electronic health records (EHRs) since 2006, the Commission established the first comprehensive, practical definition of what capabilities were needed in these systems. The certification criteria were developed through a voluntary, consensus-based process engaging diverse stakeholders, and the Certification Commission was officially recognized by the federal government as a certifying body.

In February 2009, Congress acknowledged the value of certification in the language of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) aimed at stimulating the nation’s economy. The law offers a multi-year series of incentive payments to providers and hospitals for the meaningful use of certified EHR technology. ARRA also provides for a certification process to certify those organizations, including CCHIT, which will be testing EMR technology for its adherence to the “meaningful use” criteria. Once application is open to become a certifying organization under ARRA, CCHIT will apply.
