Bloomfield Hills, MI (August 14, 2008) –
gloStream, Inc. (gloStream), an electronic medical record (EMR) and practice management (PM) solutions provider announced today that it has been selected by the Maryland Health Care Commission (MHCC) to participate in the Maryland Electronic Health Record Adoption Acceleration Program. The program is aimed at providing state-based doctors with the tools needed to improve efficiency, productivity and overall patient care. The program also is aimed at development of a statewide health information exchange. gloStream was considered alongside other EMR vendors after successfully completing a stringent evaluation process.
gloStream was selected by MHCC to collaborate on the EHR initiatives, including the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services EHR Demonstration, because of its exceptional business practices and willingness to assist physicians in overcoming the barriers that most practices face with acquiring an EHR. In addition, gloStream’s strategy for implementation, service and support is extremely consumer-focused with a nationwide network of local technology partners who are on-call and available, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. All Maryland doctors will have access to client support in the form of a local partner who is available to visit the practice in person.
“We’re thrilled to partner with the MHCC and look forward to working with the doctors in Maryland learn about new technology that will bring wanted positive process changes to their offices,” said Mike Sappington, gloStream’s CEO. “As part of this effort, our teams will be reaching out to doctors across the state of Maryland to demonstrate how our fully customizable products, built entirely on the latest technology, will allow them to save time and money and bring order and comfort back to their very busy offices.”
