Allscripts (Nasdaq:MDRX), the leading provider of clinical software, connectivity and information solutions that physicians use to improve healthcare, announced today that Santa Monica Bay Physicians has selected the TouchWorks(TM) Electronic Health Record to automate and connect the group’s 32 providers.

The Allscripts electronic health record will enable physicians and other healthcare professionals across 10 offices to automate common clinical activities such as prescribing medications, ordering lab tests, documenting patient visits, and making referrals electronically.
