WASHINGTON, D.C. (November 16, 2010) –
Ingenix Chief Technology Officer, Art Glasgow, will participate in a panel discussion focused on the role of health IT and health information exchanges (HIEs) in facilitating collaboration among health system participants to transform patient care. The Institute for eHealth Policy will host the discussion on Nov. 18 from noon to 1:45 p.m. EDT in SR-485 of the Russell Senate Office Building in Washington, D.C.
The event, Exchanging Health Information Electronically Toward Transforming Healthcare: An Update and Status, is designed to provide federal government officials and policy makers with new information on the status health information exchange HIE initiatives. Other invited participants include the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services Office of the National Coordinator for HIT, Veterans Health Administration / Department of Defense Health Affairs, Maryland State Health Information Exchange and New York Presbyterian Hospital.
