Netsmart will incorporate the Betty Ford Center’s ‘best practices’ clinical protocol into Avatar productline

Netsmart Technologies, Inc. (Nasdaq: NTST – News), a leading supplier of enterprise-wide software for health and human services providers through its wholly-owned subsidiary, Creative Socio-Medics Corp. (Creative), announced today that Creative has entered into an agreement with MSJ Communications Corporation, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Betty Ford Center, to incorporate MSJ Communications’ SATIS (Substance Abuse Treatment Information System) product with Creative’s Avatar productline. MSJ Communications provides IT solutions to organizations offering alcoholism and drug dependency treatment services. Its SATIS productline is used by approximately 30 treatment centers including the Betty Ford Center.

Creative’s CEO, Jerry Koop, said in a statement: “We are excited about becoming a partner of the Betty Ford Center, a leading alcoholism treatment organization. We anticipate that a major benefit of this new partnership will be the incorporation of the Center’s SATIS software into Creative’s Avatar product suite.
