Netsmart Technologies Acquires Behavioral Health Assets of MainTree Systems
Products Designed to Add Value for Organizations Using Netsmart CMHC/MIS Software Suite
Great River, NY (April 23, 2007) – Netsmart Technologies, Inc., a leading provider of enterprise-wide software and services for health and human services organizations, today announced that it has acquired the behavioral health assets of MainTree Systems. Terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
MainTree Systems, a privately owned software development company in Johnson City, Tenn., provides software complementary to Netsmart’s CMHC/MIS software suite, which is used nationwide by more than 400 behavioral and public healthcare and substance abuse treatment services providers. MainTree’s CMHC/MIS-related products include:
o mtSchedule, used for client scheduling and tracking. mtSchedule will be offered as an alternative to Netsmart customers that require a less complex client scheduling system than the Front Desk plus module of Netsmart CMHC/MIS.
o The uScript Toolkit, designed to automate creation of routines in uScript, the proprietary scripting program for Netsmart CMHC/MIS. The uScript toolkit includes a utility designed to enable users to build code from HTML and design screens in Microsoft FrontPage®
o Print to IRMS, which is designed to extend the value of the Integrated Records Management System (IRMS) component of Netsmart CMHC/MIS by broadening the document types that can be captured and be easily saved from the user’s PC desktop. Currently in beta, Print to IRMS is expected to be generally available in Q3 2007.
o BUI Explorer, which will help users optimize the Netsmart CMHC/MIS browser user interface (BUI). Currently in beta, BUI Explorer is expected to be generally available in Q2 2007.
“This acquisition emphasizes our continued commitment to the Netsmart CMHC/MIS product suite and our investment in complementary software to help our customers maximize their use of our solutions,” said Alan Tillinghast, Netsmart executive vice president, Operations.
With the acquisition, MainTree Systems founder and president James Songer joins Netsmart’s development team, and MainTree’s software will be incorporated into Netsmart’s quality assurance and development processes.
“I look forward to continued close involvement in the Netsmart customer community, developing the products I started at MainTree, supporting uScript, and being a part of broader Netsmart development projects,” said Songer,
