Netsmart Technologies Announces Development Program on Microsoft for Local Public Health Clinic Management and Vital Records Software

Netsmart’s Selection as Microsoft Gold Certified Partner Provides Framework for Next Generation of Netsmartâ??s Microsoft-Based Public Health Solutions

Orlando, FL (February 26, 2008) – Netsmart Technologies, Inc., a leading provider of enterprise-wide software and services for health and human services organizations, today announced it has attained Microsoft Gold Certified Partner status in the Microsoft Partner Program. The announcement was made at the 2008 Annual Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) Conference & Exhibition in Orlando.

The Microsoft/Netsmart relationship will help bring the newest Microsoft technology to Netsmart’s Windows-based Insight public health and Netsmart VR vital records software solutions. Insight is clinic management software used by local public health departments to manage a wide range of programs, including immunizations, adult health, family planning, STD, tuberculosis, lab, records/case management, appointment scheduling, electronic medical records and HIPAA-compliant patient billing. Insight uses Microsoft SQL Server database management technology. Netsmart VR is comprehensive vital records software that manages a wide variety of events for vital records offices.

With the relationship, members of Netsmart’s public health and vital records development teams are working with Microsoft developers at Microsoft’s regional technology centers to create the path for the next generation public health and vital records solutions.
